The Girl Drawn in Blue

There was a girl drawn in blue. The girl in blue never really fit in with those around her. She acted too much like a boy for the girls but at the same time the boys didn’t want to play with a girl. The girl drawn in blue tried her best to fit in. She wore dresses and skirts, pretended she liked the color pink: the color she was meant to be born into, played with dolls despite wanting to play with cars, and kept clean even though she’d much rather play in the mud but it never stuck. She always knew she was different but never knew why. As time passed she still had the same problem, always too much like a boy for the girls but was born a girl so the boys didn’t want to play with her. A few more years had passed and she learned to read herself and learned to speak her mind. She finally knew who she was. She was a boy, she was just given the wrong body. After figuring that out he felt reborn and able to start anew. He was finally able to feel like himself despite the fact he still doesn’t quite fit in. He has found his people and a place in which he belongs, a place to call home. It was hard telling the friends he did have about his true self, not everyone agreed, but at least he had his family by his side, supporting him along the way and helping him on his journey. He lost a lot throughout his life but he gained inner peace which held a greater value to him.
